Subject: 98 Buick stalls once a week, starts right back up. new fuel

98 Buick Lesabre.3.8 Driving up hill, down hill, coasting, it doesn't matter. 1 or 2 times a week the engine just dies. Sometimes I can catch it full throttle and it will pick up and run fine. or throw it in N on the fly and restart instantly.
New fuel pump and filter
Usually starts good. some times I have to stop cranking it after 5 sec 1,2,3 times before it starts. This only happens 1 time every week or two.
I've been told after the engine is running you can un plug the crank sensor and it will still run. So this rules that out, Yes? Also told Cam sensors are not usually intermitent they either work or don't, Yes?
It's been doing this for 1 Yr

My Durango starts to jerk when I slow down then try to pick up speed again. At one time it wouldnt let me go faster than 25mph and the RPM would shoot from 1 to 3. What could be wrong?

When i turn on my heater in my Ranger it boggs down my engine any one know the problem? and the RPM getting on the highway it takes more and more everytime i thank i need to change the Fluid and Filter anyone have any (!) (!) Thanks

Subject: Engine Presure

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L AWD 1997 Model. Used it for a while before shipping to West Africa where I am on assignment. I used it for two years in Accra - Ghana without any probles. Drove it to Abuja Nigeria for my next assignment and after a coupl of months, vehicle started building up presure in the engine. I lost the first radiator and shipped another one from the US to replace it. That one bursted within two weeks. My local mechanic felt it was the thermostat. He took it off and I replaced the secone radiator. That one has again bursted busted again as the presure has continued. Once I drive it for a bout 30 to 45 minutes, the radiator hose becomes very hard and the radiator stars leaking. Now, the point where the top hose meets the engine block (top cylinder is now leaking. Can someone tell me what is wrong with the vehicle?

Subject: 1993 Jeep Wrangler

I recently overhauled my son's 1993 Jeep Wrangler, 4.0L. After reassembling, the engine will start and as long as I keep it at 1000 RPM, it will run, but as soon as I release the gas pedal, it will sputter and pop at idle and then die. I have replace the ignition coil, pickup coil. Any ideas???

Subject: chevy 4x4 problem

i have a 93 chevy 1500 z71 with a 350 motor. I have owned the truck for several years and everything has worked fine until recently. the four-wheel drive wont lock in anymore. When i try to engage the 4x4 the fuse blows under the dash. I have replaced the fuse and the same thing happens each time. anyone know what could be wrong?

Ok ford taurus 1996 again.......well sometimes while driving or going around turns it will like kick or surge like it just got a big dose of gas or something ummm i dont know if im making sense ,,,thats the only way i can explain it what can this be , is that a transmission issue ? ahhhhh scary , if so how much does a fix for that problem run ,,,omg scary , and i spent so much on this car recently i cannot dump it yet,lol to much invested ,stupid car!!!!!
are transmission flushes good and how ?

All summer my taurus needed struts all of them, and when i would drive over a bump or chuck hole i would hear like something loose under the drivers front area around tire maybe so i wrote this off as ok i need struts , well i just got all 4 struts replaced and all four coil springs also had an oil change at a whole diff place that checked under car ie. tie rods etc. and all fine , well i still hear that clanking when i hit bumps what can it be !!????is my car going to fall apart as i drive ?????I spent so much money on the struts and coil springs thought the car would be wonderful im let down and frightened of whatever it is being dangerous

Subject: 1998 2.2L S10 stumbles

I have a 1998 Isuzu Hombre (S10) 2.2L that is "stumbling" during mild acceleration and when trying to maintain a steady speed. Idle and hard acceleration are fine, cranks with no problem. I'm thinking EGR or vacuum leak or both, anyone else have this problem or know the fix for it? Thanks in advance.

Subject: 1996 S-10, 4 cyl.-5spd manual performance

My S-10 has recently developed a miss that seems to occur only when the truck is under some stress from a climb up a long hill. Truck runs great on level ground with no indication of a miss, but when the rpms drop below 2500 or so as going up the hill a miss seems to develop that is accompanied by a subtle puh, puh, puh sound from the engine. Downshifting helps, but I am having to downshift to 3rd about 2/3 of the way up a hill that I used to be able to pull in 5th gear until 9/10 the way up the hill. I have replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter and ran a container of fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank. These seem to have helped overall performance, but not the hill pulling issue. Any thoughts about this problem ?

I have a 1988 f150 super cab 4x4 with a 351 engine. Went to work the other day truck workd fine, went togo home at end of day wont start. Got it towed home tried to start and started shut offwould not start. Changed coil, distributor, plugs and wires. Checked fuel on ful rails reads 40 psi. Checked injector they are working, checked compression it is fine. Please help i dont understand what poblem is timing is correct also, engine turns over fin just wont start

my 1991 chevrolet 1500 idles rough when started, then when i put it into gear it shuts off. i have no clue why, i replaced timing chain, distributer, and some other minor things like plugs and wires. but if any one has any suggestions please help

Won't Start in cold weather. Replaced the fuel pump and complete tune up. Will crank but not start. Diagdnostic test came back negitive

in the morning it starts instantly. after that it cranks over for 45 sec. or more. fuel persure is 60 psi. plugs & wires new.

Subject: 89 Jeep Camanche NO SPARK, BUT CRANKS

Hey every one. Ive got a 1989 jeep camanche 5 Spd. 4.0 engine. well i took it up to big bear on sunday, ran awsome. well monday morning came along and i got in it and it cranked it, it cranks and cranks, but didnt fire. I got a new coil, checked the wires. they all have power. but i cant get a spark. looked at the CPS, checked out to be fine. it has power to the dis. and to the coil, and power coming out of the coil. and spark plug wires. but still no spark. checked cap and rotor all looks good. can some one help me im going crazy. thanks chris

I have a 1991 Ford F250 with a 351 windser block, when I start it the Fuel pump will constently run but ever once and a wile it will operat corectly, when it works right it runs great but when it constently runs it will eather not start or it will run very rich. I have replaced the Fuel presser regulator and the fuel pump relay. any thughts?

Subject: jeep grand cherokee heater controls

My 96 grand cherokee v8 has broken vacuum lines under the hood and the heat/ac controls only work on defrost no matter which setting they are on. I looked all over and cant find where the vacuum line runs through the fire wall. I also had glovebox and heater controls out but it was still to tight to see where line runs out. Can anyone tell me what color the main line is and I will just run a new line and tap in behind heater controls if I have to. I looked at 2 diff. grands a yr or 2 older. 1 had the 4.0 and a line ran in next to a/c plumbing but mine doesnt.It doesnt seem to have broken off flush there either.The other had the v8 but lines and tees were a whole diff set up.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

after my truck runs for about 20 min or more it put put and dies out and wont start unless it sit for 25-45min and when i take the breather off it has a whole bunch off water and moisture in the carburator and i dont know why i put some heat and other stuff in the gass tank thinkin maybe there was water in my gas but it didnt work can u please help me

Subject: 1994 Jeep wont start

I just rebuilt the engine in the jeep. I was vary careful when assembling to make sure everything inturnal was timed correctly. How do I know I stabed the distruibator right? Were getting fuel, and spark. The CPS, plugs and wires are all new.
